About
Z Bashiran interprets colour and texture using materials and structural composition in novel ways to distinguish ideas through the canvas. Her use to layering incorporates the weight of the deep emotional colours of experience and perspective.
Coming from an Asian, Egyptian, British background, and being brought up in Yorkshire, England, combining her sense of self-expression, she’s always searching and reflecting roots of displacement. Z Bashiran often refers to her work as, “raw identity”.
Z Bashiran draws on inspiration from cultures around the world during her travels through South Asia, Europe and America. Her love for humanity extends to human rights for all. To this end, she heads the website, www.projecthumanrightsawareness.com where information on human rights can be sought be anyone, anywhere.
Z Bashiran produces some of the most expressive unique paintings during this period of time in new ways which generate intrigue and curiosity.
